David Faraggi received his Ph.D. degree in Statistics from University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1984, and joined the Department of Statistics at University of Haifa in 1988. Prior to that he was a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Biostatistics, Harvard School of Public Health. He held visiting positions at the Biometric Research Branch of the National Institute of Health, USA, and at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, USA. His research has been supported by the Binational US-Israel Foundation (BSF) and the National Institutes of Health. In particular, David Faraggi was a principal investigator in the EAGeR Clinical Trial on the Effects of Aspirin in Gestation and Reproductions. In 2004-2010 David Faraggi served as Vice-Rector (Vice Provost) and between 2010-2016 he was the Rector (Provost) of the University of Haifa.
