Yair Goldberg received his Ph.D. degree in Statistics from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem in 2009. He is a senior lecturer in the Department of Statistics at the University of Haifa and the secretary of the East Mediterranean Region of the International Biometric Society. From 2009 to 2011, he did his postdoctoral studies at the Department of Biostatistics and served as a statistical consultant for The Translational and Clinical Science Institute (NCTracs), both at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Yair's research interests include machine learning and survival analysis. He currently works on research topics in both of these fields, and at the interface between them.
